Hey, everyone. Thanks for your patience. I’m excited to announce more details about the podcast as well as the release date.
In the Field is a six-part podcast series featuring interviews with journalists young and old, about their personal history and the motivation for the work that they do.
In February, I began interviewing journalists from, quite literally, all different backgrounds. We interviewed a long-form freelance photographer who shoots photos of white supremacists, as well as a more than twenty-year veteran community journalist who recently decided to retire.
Each episode discusses themes of self-discovery, philosophies of journalism and humanity. The idea was to expose the rationale for wanting to do this work, and what the path to it looks like.
In the Field premieres Sunday, Aug. 20, and will air a new episode each following Sunday for six weeks.
